Hoping, Wishing, Dreaming
Do you see the black hole in my heart? No you don't but I can feel it. It's eating away at my flesh from inside; tearing me to pieces, burning me, scaring me. I'm in pain terrible pain that you can't see or feel for yourself. At night I cry myself to sleep, praying that it gets better soon. Hoping, wishing, dreaming The voice inside my head screaming out but you can't hear it; it only causes me more pain to listen to it. I try to shake it off, push it to the back of my mind these thoughts and feelings I have. It never works for long though. Reality: I am sleeping peacefully in my bed.
In my mind: It's hot, the sun is beating down on my body. Not sure where I'm at but as I look around I find myself on a dirt road; I'm in a dry desert. Not sure how I got here or what I'm supposed to do but I start walking down this dirt road thinking maybe someone else is here that can help me. As I'm traveling down this road I can hear vultures in the background and as I look around I can see scorpions and lizards. Thinking to myself, this is really strange to be in a desert when I've never been in a desert before now. Still walking I can feel my body start to sweat. Beads of moisture drip
